Go beyond the standard day trips with our complete 2-Day Cairo by Plane Expedition. Operating daily during all months of the year, this multi-day tour is designed for travelers aged 2 and up who want to deeply explore ancient Egypt without feeling rushed. To ensure seamless transitions across airport terminals, comfortable private ground transport, and high-quality guiding at every landmark, group availability is capped at 35 passengers per departure. Flying directly from Sharm El Sheikh saves you hours of desert driving, giving you ample time to uncover the pyramid sites of Giza, Saqqara, and Dahshur alongside the capital’s historic museums and religious landmarks.

Day one begins with an early morning flight from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo, where your qualified English-speaking guide will meet you in the arrival terminal. Your first stop is the Giza Plateau to stand before the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, and view the iconic Great Sphinx. From there, you will visit the Egyptian Museum on Tahrir Square to explore its vast collection of Pharaonic antiquities, highlighting the gold funerary treasures, masks, and jewelry of King Tutankhamun. You will also have time to shop for authentic crafts in the city’s traditional bazaars. Your evening concludes with a transfer to a Nile River cruise ship for your overnight stay. Here, you will enjoy free time to relax, a delicious open-buffet dinner, and live traditional folk dancing while sailing the waters of the Nile.

On day two, after breakfast onboard, your guide will lead you south to Saqqara, the sprawling necropolis of ancient Memphis. Here, you will explore the Step Pyramid of Djoser—the world’s oldest intact stone pyramid complex—as well as historic mastaba tombs and the Pyramid of Teti. Continue to the open-air museum at Memphis to view the colossal fallen limestone statue of Ramses II and the nearby Temple of Hathor. After a premium lunch at a highly rated local restaurant, you will enter the medieval Citadel of Saladin to tour the magnificent Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, an Ottoman masterpiece modeled after Istanbul’s grand Yeni Mosque. Your tour wraps up with a stroll through the spiritual lanes of Old Cairo before you transfer to the airport for your evening flight back to Sharm El Sheikh.
